Mr. Richard Vodra

Mr. Richard Vodra

Vice President
Spire Investment Partners

Richard (Dick) Vodra, JD, CFP, has been a financial planning practitioner in Northern Virginia since 1985.  He is a graduate of the College of Wooster and the Yale Law School.  He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association. He has been following the Peak Oil and Global Climate Change issues carefully since 2002, and has been an ASPO member since 2006.

He was the first person to present Peak Oil issues to the Financial Planning Association, speaking at the FPA National Retreat last year in what used to be Galveston, Texas.  A few months later in Houston, he, along with Jim Hansen, was one of the first two financial planners to address ASPO.  He has published, or been the subject of, four articles in the financial planning press on Peak Oil and Climate Change.

Dick is currently leading a task force of the FPA’s Public Issues Advisory Council developing ways to help planners give more weight to these issues.

Dick is a First Vice President with Spire Investment Partners, LLC, of McLean, VA, and is a registered representative with Spire Securities.  His views on energy, as with most things, are his own, and are not expressions of the opinions of Spire. Nothing he says here should be considered as a recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any security.
